Africa Motors, a subsidiary of the Auto Hall automobile group, has just officially introduced during a launch ceremony on Thursday, June 23, 2022 in Casablanca, the Chinese car brand Chery, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in China.
The subsidiary of the Auto Hall automotive group, Africa Motors, and the Chinese car manufacturer, Chery International based in Wuhu, 500 kilometers from Shanghai, have put on a big show for the official launch of the Chery car brand. The two partners launched with great fanfare during a ceremony on Thursday, June 23, 2022 in Casablanca, the brand. As a result, the Moroccan market will be supplied with an SUV Pro range comprising 4 models in 8 versions, namely Tiggo 2 pro, Tiggo 4 pro, Tiggo 7 pro and Tiggo 8 pro. This is a very innovative range, which combines new technologies, safety, comfort and a very modern design. However, the two partners do not intend to be satisfied with these jewels.
Auto Hall’s experience highlighted in the rolling stock sector
In addition, Chery plans to also launch, in collaboration with Auto Hall, two 100% hybrid and electric models. For the Chinese company, its choice of Africa Motors was motivated by Auto Hall’s experience in the rolling stock sector.
Today, Chery International is present in over 80 countries worldwide with ten assembly plants. Besides being one of the largest automakers in China, it has also been one of the top passenger car exporters in China for 19 consecutive years. This is how Africa Motors signed a partnership agreement with its new Chinese partner Chery, on October 28, 2021, to ensure the import and exclusive distribution of its range of cars in Morocco.
The introduction of the Chery range starts from a long-term partnership
“We see Morocco as one of the markets with the greatest potential in Africa. And we know that Auto Hall is one of the largest automobile distributors in Morocco with a professional team rich in experience in automobile distribution”, indicated Zhang Guibing, President of Chery International, who specifies that the “cooperation between Chery and Auto Hall will be very successful in Morocco”.
For its part, the management of Africa Motors, stressed that China is a strategic axis for the development of our group through strong and lasting partnerships in distribution and manufacturing. “Our vision is to build a long-term partnership by introducing the entire Chery range to the Moroccan market, including electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles,” he added, pointing out that under this partnership, the two parties have agreed to discuss and study a project relating to the assembly process for the local market and for export.
