- The startup integrates organic and local products into its offer by buying the brand “The beldi”
- After Greater Casablanca, the platform is expanding its coverage to other major Moroccan cities
Marché Express is giving itself the means to accelerate its growth. Aimed at both individuals and professionals, the first Moroccan e-commerce marketplace for the sale of fruits and vegetables now has tens of thousands of active customers on its platform in the Greater Casablanca area. In less than 24 hours, customers are delivered with high quality fresh products, while respecting health standards.
With a user satisfaction rate of over 92%, Marché Express relies on customer service to honor its promise “Your shopping without stress”. Building on its success in Greater Casablanca, the marketplace intends to expand its offer to other major Moroccan cities.
Posting record performances during the pandemic crisis, Marché Express is consolidating its leadership by announcing the acquisition of the “L’beldi” brand. The young brand specializing in the cultivation of organic fruits and vegetables offers the best quality by supporting producers-operators and respecting the seasonality of products. Vegetables and fruits are picked the same day and delivered directly to customers.
By taking action with the acquisition of “L’beldi”, Marché Express is expanding its range of 70 varieties of fruit and vegetables with local products with high added value.
To meet the major challenges awaiting the marketplace, Marché Express has invested in management: Reinforcement of teams and appointment of a Managing Director. The new CEO, Mr. Youssef Erradey, is responsible for developing the platform’s growth and pursuing the retail business transformation model.
“The pandemic crisis has accelerated the development of e-commerce. Moroccan households quickly adopted the culture of home delivery. They are increasingly demanding new products. Marché Express was able to build a great notoriety and an excellent reputation in a short time. Our marketplace now enjoys a relationship of trust with Moroccan consumers. This trust honors us and motivates us to offer new products and expand our distribution network to other large cities with high potential. The ambition of Marché Express is to strengthen its position as the leading fresh market in Morocco. The great interest shown by our customers and our various partners encourages us to invest heavily in this direction,” said Youssef Erradey.
Launched in 2019, Marché Express now has tens of thousands of customers on its platform and delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to hundreds of Moroccan households daily. The platform also serves professionals through its B2B division. The platform has to its credit several agreements signed with major local groups. After sharpening its weapons during the pandemic crisis, Marché Express now aims to become the leading fresh produce marketplace in Morocco.
