Tuesday June 21, 2022 is the Fête de la Musique in Lille!

the Tuesday, June 21, 2022, the Music Festival will celebrate its 40th anniversary! The City of Lille offers several appointments valuing the professional musical practices and amateurs.

Of numerous municipal cultural facilities will honor the musical diversity. From 2 p.m., the public will be able dance to the rhythms of the concerts ranging from rock marching band, passing through the classical music, electro or rap, in different parts of the city.

In the Great Southin collaboration with the Faubourg des Musiques :

From 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.: Painlevé school concert (from Baroque to Rock)

From 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Concerts by the Harmony Orchestra of the Lille-Sud School of Music, of the Fanfare of the Painlevé School, and of the current music ensemble of the Faubourg des Musiques

At the Maison Folie Moulins / Bulle café:

From 8 p.m. to midnight: electro concerts of Kubebe (electro psyche) and DDDXIE

At the Bistrot St So – Gare Saint Sauveur:

From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.: hoodini dj sets (hip-hop urban vibes) and of Grrr (jungle, UK bass)

At Flow – Euro-regional Center for Urban Cultures:

Of 8 p.m. to midnight on the Flow rooftop: the DJ Cotton White offers a carte blanche with the showcase of the favorites of the Open Mic of June 03: Lewoof, KOB, Wang DVS, Fefe, Shaakazulu…

At the Old Lille Media Library:

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Magnetic Rust (electro-pop)

From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Dark Minimal Project (darkwave – synthpop)

In the courtyard of the Trulin – Samain School:

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.: the Faubourg des Musiques offers several gigs. In the program : Area X21 (rock), Stare Krowy (pop rock) and Tropical Combo (zouk, beguine, salsa).

A open stage was also offered upstream by the City of Lille to amateur artists wishing to perform on the occasion of June 21. The groups John Jon and Stag Stone will play on this stage installed in the Main courtyard of the Hospice Comtesse Museum.

From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.: John Jon (power-rock)

From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Stag Stone (rock cover band)

A return to the roots of the Fête de la Musique
The Music Festival was created ago 40 years in order to highlight the musical practices of all those who play a musical instrument.

In order to allow all musical sensibilities to express themselves in public space and in particular to give the good share of amateur practices, only the acoustic music will be authorized on the public highway.

The bars, restaurants and cafes will be able play amplified music, indoors until they are closed.

A secure perimeter and extended opening hours for bars and restaurants

In order to allow the musicians and to musicians of occur and of ensure public safety, the City of Lille established a secure perimeter. Thus, the sectors Massena-Solferino, Center and Old Lille will be closed to vehicle traffic from Tuesday June 21 at 6 p.m. to Wednesday June 22 at 2:30 a.m.

the parking will also be there prohibited from Tuesday June 21 at 1:00 a.m. to Wednesday June 22 at 2:30 a.m.

Otherwise, bars and restaurants will be able open one more hour, namely until 2amand the terraces until midnight instead of 11 p.m.

On the occasion of the Music Festival, them subway lines and of tram will circulate one hour more and the frequencies will be reinforced from 8 p.m. to the end of the service.
